#RDESKTOP AUTOSELECTED KEYBOARD MAP EN US ERROR UNABLE TO CONNECT INSTALL#
I just tried to uninstall and reinstall the extpack, and found that I had to do this as root:Ĭode: Select all Expand view Collapse view VBoxManage extpack install Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-4.0.4-70112.vbox-extpack (edit #2: reinstalling the extpack made no difference - same issue) Why ignore the below, I see this is not an issue) 0: Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Packĭescription: USB 2.0 Host Controller, VirtualBox RDP, PXE ROM with E1000 support. Mar 2011, 23:12 Primary OS: Ubuntu other VBox Version: PUEL Guest OSses: Windows 7Ĭode: Select all Expand view Collapse view VBoxManage list extpacks The VM log shows that VRDP has started, but doesn't show any connections coming in. I've tried changing the authentication method to "null" but this makes no difference. I know the NAT portion is working because I can telnet to port 5000 of the box only if the VM is operational, but any connections to RDP just hang or time out depending on the client (rdesktop hangs, Ubuntu's Terminal Server Client just times out and says "Connection reset by peer".) VRDE property: Client/DisableUpstreamAudio = VRDE property: Client/DisableClipboard = RDE: enabled (Address 0.0.0.0, Ports 5000, MultiConn: off, ReuseSingleConn: off, Authentication type: external)

I had it working for a while, then sometime (maybe when I upgraded to VirtualBox 4?) it all broke.
